The Forgotten Wounded Children

The Forgotten Wounded Children

We were not born with addictions, with unhealthy relationship patterns, with negative beliefs, self-sabotaging behaviors, or coping mechanisms. We were born with innocence. An untainted mind, body, and soul. We are brought into life; into a world, that molds our subconscious mind. That develops our thoughts and beliefs. That shapes our emotional intelligence. That creates our fundamental requirements in how we need, accept, and receive love. How we navigate through life in our limiting beliefs and through our trauma responses. How we cope.

What a child is exposed to in the early stage of development shapes who they become. How they show up in the world. A child born into unconditional love, nurturing, and positive structure is going to be shaped and molded very differently than a child born into, chaos, pain, loss, suffering, and trauma. Yet unfortunately both versions are held to the same societal standards. If we don’t give the child the proper environment to grow how can we then expect the adult that comes to fruition to understand the acceptable standard? In this I am trying to create awareness.

It was not until I was about to lose everything that I came to the understanding of how I had been shaped and molded. I essentially had to be broken to be rebuilt. For the child within me to be given a second chance to be nurtured and raised into a new existence. One of love. One of purpose.

So I asked myself, why had it come to this?  Why does a rock bottom have to happen after already so much suffering? There must be a better way. Along my healing pathway, I found that for myself. A way in which I now want to give back to the world. To give a chance at a thriving life to those who so desperately not only need it but deserve it.

All over our world there are wounded children within that have been forgotten. It's my mission to locate these children. Those inner children within the adults that have not been seen, heard or understood. To bring these children to light.

A wounded healer is a type of healer who uses their life experience to help others find their inner healer. From a place of enlightenment, I aid in the healing journey of others. My goal is to give people the opportunity to live the quality of life they are destined to live in the highest state of well-being. I do this through inner child work, the use of healing modalities, and the teaching of spiritual concepts and practices.

Speaking your truth is a stage of healing. Allowing your inner child to have a voice.  When we tell our story we speak our truth. In doing this we name the hurt and bring the wound(s) to light.

We then release the power of the trauma from having a hold over our lives. And then the magic happens.

Over the coming weeks, we are going to travel through the story of my life.  Bringing in topics of enlightenment along the way to aid you in your journey. I welcome you along and hope my story enlightens yours.

May you be seen, heard, and understood.

Love and light,

Jocelyn.
